Tonight we start with Black Wednesday and that one we will just leave alone! Have fun and remember to only take photos that you want to show up on social media!
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving, is a day to give thanks for the many blessings that we have within our lives and what we are thankful for over the past year. At RyTech, we are very thankful for the many, many individuals that have provided us much guidance and support throughout the year. From our family and friends to our trusted advisors, and of course, our clients! Thank you for you a tremendous year!
Friday kicks off the shopping season in time for the holidays. While once a time to get great deals in the wee hours of the morning and to get your Christmas shopping over with and done in one day, this Black Friday has changed and morphed by starting on Thursday afternoon and in some cases has already started! Good luck to everyone who is heading out shopping!
Saturday - once the day of rest - has been dubbed "Small Business Saturday". It's the branding for the smaller retail shops to compete with the larger named brands. As a small business owner, I completed understand the need and desire to "Shop Local" or "Shop Small". Those of you that have any budget left over from Thursday/Friday - head into a small business and give them some support this season. A number of our clients are small business owners, and we'd love to have you support them.
Sunday - what's that? No official name? Oh wait, in the Catholic faith it's the First Sunday of Advent! Phew! Thought we might miss one, but in all seriousness the day of rest, reflection, and preparation for the upcoming reason for the season.
Monday - As the Internet has grown from a new cool tool to a fad to a commonplace and necessary part of life, Cyber Monday emerged. Those who don't like to fight the crowds (myself included) and prefer to shop from the comfort of their own home or office can look for the myriad of emails on Monday that will surely plague your inbox! E-tailers and companies that didn't perform as well on Black Friday will definitely capitalize on this.
But, wait, there's more!
Tuesday - #GivingTuesday (yes, we'll say this one came from social media!) Nonprofits want to see the action that retailers, small businesses, and e-tailers had seen over the the weekend and dubbed the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as Giving Tuesday! A time to recognize your thankfulness and give back to the causes that you care about.
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Black Friday! Happy Small Business Saturday! Happy First Sunday of Advent! Happy Cyber Monday! Happy Giving Tuesday!
In which day(s) will you participate?
