iOS 7 is equipped with all-new features: Control Center, Notification Center, multitasking, camera updates, photo changes, AirDrop, Safari adjustments, an iTunes radio, and modifications to Siri. Convenience and functionality for the user are the driving forces behind all of the new features. The Control Center allows the user to swipe up from the bottom of the screen and immediately access airplane mode, wifi, bluetooth, do not disturb, screen lock, brightness, iPod, AirDrop, AirPlay, a flashlight, compass, calculator, and camera. These settings previously required entry into multiple screens before achieving the desired results. With iOS 7, the most-used features are only one swipe away in the Control Center.
Control Center is only one product of iOS 7 meant to increase user satisfaction and product functionality. Every single aspect of iOS 7 was designed with users in mind. Another particularly helpful feature is the Notification Center, which is now accessible even when your phone is locked. Again, convenience and functionality seem to be the catalysts behind iOS 7. The new update, as explained by Apple CEO Tim Cook, is undoubtedly "the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone." Hopefully in the fall when the update is released, iOS 7 will live up to, and even surpass, users' expectations.
